    I recently saw an intriguing article that discussed the biggest ways in which gardening has changed in the past 25 years. the general consensus seems to be organic and all-year gardens are the two biggest changes. I wonder if this consensus holds true for most of us gardeners.

      I’ve definitely seen a spike in organic gardening. Year-round gardening is picking up speed as well. Hydroponic systems that fit in your window or on the counter really help keep people growing all year long. There are so many wonderful DIY systems to implement, one shouldn’t think they have to be limited to their natural seasonal growth cycles. πŸ™‚

        We are a very small bakery (just us two) at the moment, and we just don’t have the space to dedicate to gluten-free baking. We wouldn’t feel right promising that our treats are gluten-free when we cannot create them in their own dedicated space where we can guarantee none of the utensils, surfaces, ingredients, etc… will come in contact with gluten products. Just sifting flour creates a gluten dust cloud. Well, it does if you sift like I do. lol It is something to work towards as we grow.     I am happy to see more vegan shops opening up. I live in Asheville but work in Black Mountain, so now when I do not have time to make vegan goodies for my co-workers I can visit your shop. I hope the shop has great success. I know I will be telling everyone about it!

    Just wanted to second the gluten free request! although i do not have celiac diseasae, i do appreciate you attention to and awareness of the challenges of making truly gluten free items for those who can’t have it all. Maybe you could just have some items that are gluten free in terms of ingredients, but clear that it is produced in a facility that is not gluten free if it’s not feasible to have a separate space for truly GF baking.
